Eithne Treanor, CNBC correspondent, is an international broadcast journalist, latterly specialising in finance and business. She has interviewed hundreds of CEOs and high-ranking business people around the world and has written and reported for television, radio and print publications. She is a regular contributor to many trade publications including, Investor Relations Magazine, CorpComms, Forbes Media, Energy Risk and www.oilbarrel.com. She has interviewed many Presidents and Prime Ministers in Central and Eastern Europe and has covered the European banking and stock exchange consolidation story.
 
She has also covered the telecom industry and many mergers in the pharmaceutical industry. She is an expert in the oil and energy market and she has interviewed major players in the business as well as various OPEC Presidents and Secretary Generals and the Saudi Arabia oil minister Ali al-Naimi. Her TV experience spans major international networks including ABC News, BBC World, Sky News, Bloomberg and CNBC Europe. Her areas of expertise include international business and energy. She also acts as on-air moderator for OPEC's live web casts and works with their in-house media team on follow up reports.
