The Board secretary is being recognised globally as a key component of a successful board meeting. The position is one of extreme influence, advising chairman on the content of agendas, guiding them through the meeting and recording, communicating and following up on the boards decision-making. The Board secretary also plays an important role as the ‘conscience of the organisation’ ensuring that the board’s deliberations and decision-making is in line with the organisation’s values and governance best practices. This role is critical to managing an organisation’s reputational risk.
*To register, participants have to have attended the Certified Board Secretaries Workshop (Days 1 and 3).
