Hawkamah’s sister institute, Mudara Institute of Directors launched its flagship Director Development Programme (DDP) here expanding its regional footprint.  The DDP is a structured four-part programme designed and accredited by the Global Corporate Governance Forum, regionalized by Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance, and delivered by Mudara Institute of Directors.  The Amman programme held during 23-25 September, 2012 at Le Meridien Hotel focuses on corporate governance and the role of the board.

“The flagship programme we are offering in Amman is designed to inform and promote professional directors serving regional boardrooms. Armed with case studies, live voting, and group interaction, this programme has been offered to over 200 directors all over the region serving close to 1,000 boards. It is our hope that with the active engagement of directors in such development activities, we are able to change the terms of board engagements in the region towards better and more effective corporate governance practices,” said Nick Nadal, Head of Mudara, Institute of Directors.

The next director development programme will be focused on Strategy and Risk Oversight and Accountability and will be held in Jordan on 20-22 November, 2012.  5
