Director Development Program

The success of directors and governance professionals does not come easy. It requires education, training and networking. Hawkamah has therefore designed a flagship “Director Development Program”, DDP.

The DDP lays the foundation for capacity building, educating current and aspiring board members and governance professionals. It equips current and future board members with the core knowledge needed to fulfill their duties effectively.

Effective boards require suitably qualified board members, hence Hawkamah recommends training both for the board as a whole, and for individual board members. That is why we deliver the DDP in different formats; open enrollment, company tailored, and one-on-one for individual directors. This helps those who need to probe more into specific issues or ask questions related to their own companies in a confidential manner to do so privately and in confidence.

The DDP is designed as a highly interactive program containing regional and global case studies, group exercises and international best practice examples to give participants the utmost room for sharing experiences amongst their peers.

NOTE: Candidates are required to take the "Introduction to Corporate Governance" workshop prior to attending the rest of the programmes.
